Deirdre Rolfe
Canadian-Australian Clinical Psychotherapist, author, ACA Level 4 Clinical Member and Supervisor
Deirdre Rolfe has more than thirty years of experience working in trauma recovery, attachment injuries, grief, relational abuse, Cluster B abuse survival and psychological resilience. She developed the TR6 Trauma Model™, an evidence-informed framework exploring the adaptive and maladaptive pathways through trauma, adversity and profound life disruption.
Educated in Montreal, Canada, Deirdre holds a three-year college diploma in Social Counselling and a Bachelor and Master of Therapeutic Counselling. Her Master's thesis was titled Spiritual Psychotherapy in Bereavement Counselling. Her work is informed by existential psychology, Jungian depth psychology, attachment theory, neuroscience and trauma-informed practice.
She is the author of You Are as Sick as Your Secrets: Trauma Understands Trauma, Dark Contracts: Breaking the Nex of Narcissistic and Psychopathic Control and The TR6 Trauma Model. She also created TraumaCode: Symbols, Metaphors and Rituals, a 96-card therapeutic system designed to make trauma concepts more accessible.
Her professional interests centre on trauma, identity, meaning and transformation. Through clinical work and lived experience, she develops practical language and frameworks that help people and practitioners recognise adaptation, entrapment and recovery, while deepening an understanding of how healing becomes possible.
